This morning the three of us enjoyed a nice Sunday morning together. First we hit the road bright and early and headed to Zepher Cafe in East Fremantle where we had breakfast (the photo above was taken from where we were sitting). This cafe is literally right on the water and we enjoyed the lovely view and all that was happening on the river from our table. Then we headed to a fishing store Paul has recently discovered in Nedlands where he bought a new rod. Grace had fallen asleep by this stage so I was more than happy to stay with her in the comfort of the air-conditioned car with my Ideal Home magazine. Finally, we drove into the city to the State Library where there is currently an exhibition called 'Thanks Dad'. A cute photo of Paul and Grace that I submitted has been included in the collection so we went to see the display. It was titled 'Morning Cuddle'. Go here to see some of the beautiful photos from the 2009 entries.
Now I am catching up on all my favourite blogs while Grace naps and Paul watches the cricket. Then I'm hoping to tackle a bit more of the sewing projects I started during the week. Hope you have all had wonderful weekends too.
Oh what a wonderful Sunday you have had Amanda:) Congrats to you on having your beautiful photo included in an exhibition, just wonderful! Enjoy tackling those projects, I can't wait to see what you have been working on! Hope your Sunday evening is just as great as your day has been! Thanks for sharing :) - Tina x

ReplyDeleteWhat a lovely photo. Cherish this - my son is 12 next month and he was this little only a few weeks ago!! Loads of people I was in school with emigrated to Fremantle (we come from a surfing community in Wales so everyone seemed to flock to Australia at some point!) I wonder if you know some Welshies?!
ReplyDeleteThanks for your lovely comment on my post too x
Hi Amanda,
ReplyDeleteHow lovely to have the photo exhibited - congratulations to you all!
Thanks for the recommendation of the cafe - we are heading over to Perth next weekend to find a new home (hopefully) and we are staying in Fremantle for the week - I look forward to enjoying this view too.
All the best, Christine
Hi Christine - how exciting you'll be over here house hunting next weekend :) There are some nice spots along the river down Fremantle way for a coffee - Point Walter in Bicton (next suburb on from East Fremantle) is another lovely one on the water and a good one for kiddies to play on all the lawn and play area. Let me know how your search for a new house goes! Good luck x
ReplyDeleteThanks so much Amanda - I'm sure Sophie will love to have a play in between "Open House" inspections!!! And I'm sure her mummy will need a coffee (or 3!!).
ReplyDeleteBye for now, Christine
