Hi! I’m Amanda from Western Australia - a former primary school teacher now full-time stay-at-home Mum to our two girls, Grace and Sophie. My days are filled with all things homely – cooking, crafting, decorating and of course, life with my husband and our two precious girls.
I always loved stairs...until I had Jacq..then I found them scary and a pain..lol
ReplyDeleteGot to admit..they are gorgeous ..some stair cases really make the house look grand..and I love the built in bookcases beneath them..looks fab. Hope you have a great weekend lovely x
I too used to envy those with stairs to run up. However, let me tell you that most of the houses we have owned have had stairs and I wish I could have a house on one level sometimes. One good thing about an upstairs is that you can invite guests in and they will never know how messy the kids bedrooms actually are upstairs!! All of these images have merits, however, I do like the black and white clean lines of image 4 and the quirky paintings up the stairwell in image 7! Hope you have a great weekend. Michelle
ReplyDeleteImage 6 makes my heart sing!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
ReplyDeleteThey're all lovely! Lyndon would say that the first one is so me -I'm always piling books all over the place (and getting in trouble for it)!
ReplyDeleteHave a lovely weekend Amanda!
Hope you are well :)
xx
I love the built in bookcase one!!! I also like the black and white looking one, beautiful!!!
ReplyDeleteI also thought that sliding down the stairs would be cool. I hope you're having a lovely day my dear and that you and Gracie are 100%!
Jxx
So did I! But I also secretly feared Id go falling down them! I love the first one with the books alongside very unique.
ReplyDeleteMy darling little girl took a tumble down our new stairs within 30 mins of moving into our new home which made me rethink our decision to buy a two storey home.
ReplyDeleteAlthough now the shock has passed I'm liking the transformation as I have it improved.
I'll be sure to post final result :)
Gorgeous shots and I love the first one with the books and the one with the French numbers on them. I have fallen down stairs way too many times to mention so could never live in a house with them. :) I do love the look of them though. x
ReplyDeletei love the look of stairs but me and stairs are not friends lol i have stairs at home and i have lost count how many times i have slipped and tumbled down..but i love the look of the fourth one from the top.
ReplyDeletewanted say thanks for stopping by today and saying hi,missed seeing you around melli's place lately ...have a awesome weekend sweetie xxx
The fourth one for my home, and the second one for my dream beach house - slightly whimsical..I love a staircase thats fresh and invites what awaits above. thank you for your advice/comment re sydney, will post next week on my trip. and also on my dinner post, i appreciate and love reading from my bloggy friends. Have a lovely weekend.

i was also so envious of stairholders. i think we can blame movies and tv for putting thoughts in our heads of sliding down bannisters (a feat i never mastered) and walking down a staircase to pose mid way looking beautiful and everyone stopping to look at you.
ReplyDeletei think 1, 2 and 3 are the best. a combination perhaps. love the books on the stairs and underneath and perhaps i could just have that particularly beautiful shade of blue on the stairs as well.
I love them all! The first looks amazing, but dusting all of those books would get so old. We haven't finished our upstairs yet, but I'm not looking forward to a whole new floor to keep clean.
ReplyDeleteHi Amanda, I love the 4th and 5th set. We have stairs at our house (we did have 3 sets - 2 out and 1 in until we re-do the front deck)and I hope they will also look like this one day. I must say, it keeps you fit! ;-)
ReplyDeleteThey are all fun for different reasons...i love the colour on the first set of stairs!
ReplyDeleteOh those blue ones... full of such charm! Hope you are having a perfect weekend! Kellie xx
ReplyDeleteI love stairs - a great way of getting exercise without going to the gym :) Your staircase collection in this post is the one of the best I have seen - really enjoyed them. Wish I had rises on my stairs to paint french numbers.
ReplyDeletestairs, number 3 - by a long way!
ReplyDeleteimage 1 :))))))
ReplyDeleteThose sets of stairs are gorgeous! I've always wanted an awesome set of stairs like these. The more landings the better I had always believed. I think the 4th is my favorite currently, although I could definitely see myself liking others in the future. :)
ReplyDeleteI love the one with the numbers written in French! Everyday glamour!
ReplyDeletereally? you expect us to choose from all that goodness? They are all amazing! good finds! xo
ReplyDeleteOne problem with the French numbers: the first one should be "un", not "une".
ReplyDeleteBig oops.
