Baby Shower Photos

Hope you are all having a lovely week. Today, I finally sat down to download and browse through the photos I'd taken at my cousin's baby shower on the weekend. However, I found I didn't have as many good shots as I'd hoped I would. I seemed to have focused more on the guests than on the party details but I've managed to choose a few photos to share with you all to give you an idea of how the party looked.

My cousin really liked the decorations I had used at Grace's 1st birthday party so I re-used some of those and stuck to a similar style invitation. We also used the floral fabric centrepieces from the Pink Ribbon morning tea fundraiser I held last year. I made the cupcakes with polka dot flag toppers but apart from that, my Aunty and a few other guests made the remaining delicious dishes.

Here's the few photos I managed to scrape together...

  5. What a beautiful and festive-looking party. It's so great that you were able to recycle some decorations from another party. Making decorations is so time-consuming and I always feel a little sad having to put mine away after a seemingly too brief party. I especially love the cupcake toppers and the darling little matryoshkas on the invites.

  6. Welcome back little, 'Homely One' - I missed you!

Your photographs are beautiful! You are so creative and clever and the pale, pink theme was just so sweet. It made me yearn for that soft love of another little, baby girl. x o x o Danae is so lucky to have you in her life.

I love and absorbed every detail - the quaint pink cupcakes with little flags, the uniformity of the tea cups spread out - you could give up your day job as a teacher and go completely into party planning and catering for special functions and events. Although, I can tell that you would also be an excellent, caring, loving and organised teacher - so that would be a shame.

I got so much out of your post below in regard to planning our wedding. Thank you! Replied in post below.
Tracey x o So pleased you are back. No wonder life has been so hectic, you have been planning a gorgeous event with your own little cherub roaming about under foot. Well done and congratulations from one mum to another - you have done a fabulous job - so memorable for you.

  9. What a lovely baby shower it was! Your cousin is a lucky one! I hear you about forgetting to take some photos because you are focused on something else. In my case, when I go out to eat with my girls and I mean to take photos of the food before I dig in, but it seems that every time my food arrives, I separate the dish for my girls and start cutting food. Then I realize, oh, c, I forgot to take photos! I love the lanterns you used. I've been wanting to buy lanterns for my daughter's b-day, so I have to do that soon... Have a great weekend! Kaho

  13. So pretty. I love the circle garlands. I may need to make some of those. Thanks for your comments re Fremantle. We loved Perth. A great city. I was even murmering to Mr M what he thought his chances of getting a secondment for 12 months would be. One thing I noticed was the huge amount of construction. And, nobody seems to be building small houses. They were huge. It seems to have all the advantages of a city but and laid back almost country feel in the suburbs.
