Yesterday, I finally used a gift voucher to a day-spa my sister had given me months ago for my birthday. I enjoyed a back, neck and shoulder massage after not having treated myself to one since I was pregnant with Grace. Needless to say I came away feeling very relaxed.
Whilst there, I also did my best to soak in the decor and tried to determine which elements of my tranquil surroundings I could recreate at my own house to give our bathroom a 'day-spa feel'. I came away feeling not only relaxed, but also inspired to add a few special little touches to our bathroom when I get a chance.
Have you ever been treated to a spot of day-spa style pampering?

Good to hear you had some relaxation time, and enjoyed your treat. I try to do this as much as I can - good for the soul! Id be doing the same as you and taking in the decor, getting ideas...Enjoy the rest of your week

Oh wow, nothing like a day spa voucher :)
ReplyDeleteGlad to hear you enjoyed yourself.
It's a very popular trend now, to have a spa look in the bathroom home. I love the idea. All I need is a thai girl to come to my house once a week to massage me ;)

I've never been to one before, but I completely agree about trying to add more spa-like elements to your bathroom. Flowers, soaps, candles - they make all the difference :)
ReplyDeleteSounds perfect and just what a new mum needs!
ReplyDeleteI like to float candles and flowers in a bowl to create a spa feel at home since I can't make massive alterations to our flat! :-) xx
How lovely. I love a massage but can't justify it to myself these days as it's too much of a splurge. Having said that, I think I need it most these days with al my sore renovation muscles!
ReplyDeleteI had a hot stone massage a few years ago and it was AMAZING!!
Hope you are well xx
I've never had a massage and I'm dying for one!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful ideas for a bathroom :) I would like mine to be like a sanctuary, quiet and peaceful!
