Happy Monday! I hope you have all had a lovely weekend. Ours was warm and sunny which gave us the chance to get lots of things done. Yesterday my sister and I paid an early morning visit to the flea markets – she came away with several bargains, I only ended up buying a plant and some pretty fabric.
Mid-morning, Paul, Grace and I went for a wander through the antique shops in North Fremantle. One again, no purchases were made but it was fun to browse. There was a cute little café there I’d like to go back and try one day called Harvest – they even had a vegie patch (complete with a scarecrow), rainwater tanks and a compost heap next door so I assume most of their food is also organic.
After a quick visit to see my Mum and a stop at Bunnings to get some bits and pieces, we spent the rest of our day pottering around at home and then enjoyed a lovely barbecue for tea, the first time we’ve turned it on since before winter.
How did you all spend your Sunday?
Thank you all for your unbelievably kind and sweet comments on Friday's post - I appreciated every single one of them and it makes me so happy to know that you enjoy my blog and the friendships we have come to form.
Oh that sounds like a perfect day to me. We had free tickets so went to Movie World. Not usually my cup of tea, but it was free, the sun was shining, and the kids loved it; and you know their joy is my joy situation!
ReplyDeleteHarvest looks like my type of cafe. Love the attached vegie patch. x
That all sounds heavenly! And I do believe you may be sending that fine weather our way..I hope so! Rachaelxx

ReplyDeleteIt sounds like you had a lovely time on Sunday spending time with family and visiting new places, I love to do that. I did some cooking while hubby did some mowing and then spent the afternoon at my sister-in-laws baby shower, busy but lots of fun. Have a wonderful week. xo
ReplyDeleteSounds like a wonderful way to spend a Sunday Amanda!! I love the look of the antique store and the cafe! I spent yesterday finishing off Bella's room and sitting in front of the fire...it was freezing here over the weekend. Hope you have a wonderful week. Hugs ~ Tina xx
ReplyDeleteHi Amanda! Sounds like a lovely way to spend a sunny Sunday! I love those little antique stores in Nth Freo. We spent a morning browsing through them about 6 months or so ago. I've never noticed the Harvest Cafe but it looks interesting, will have to check it out next time I'm down that way. Thanks for your lovely comment over at my blog!! Have a great week.

It sounds like you had a wonderful weekend! I love flea markets, but I'm like you, I usually don't buy much. I love browsing, too. At a flea market in Austrlia, are there some good food stands as well? Mmmm. Organic. Harvest sounds like a great place to go out for lunch.
ReplyDeleteWhat a perfect way to spend the weekend. You are very lucky that your husband likes to join you wandering through the antique shops.
ReplyDeleteSorry I haven't visited in a while - I have just had a wonderful time reading over previous posts. Congratulations on your 1 year anniversary - please don't change a thing, your blog is wonderful just the way it is. Michelle
