Hope everyone has had as lovely a weekend as we did. I made the tarts above for a function, managed a quick trip to Ikea, started looking for new carpet and bought some plants to add some colour to our garden.
The afternoon was spent trying to put together my Ikea purchases, a task which always proves more difficult than I anticipate! What lovely things did you all get up to on the weekend?
Hi Amanda,
ReplyDeleteThose tarts look so good mate, makes me feel like baking! Ikea and plants... sounds like a heavenly weekend to me too!
I have been flat out for a week or so with all the wedding stuff, and slowly getting back to 'real' life now! I posted a couple of photos... can't wait to see the professional ones tho!
What plants did you end up getting? I need some colour too...
:)
Hi Flick - just saw the gorgeous photos from your friend's wedding - LOVE the yellow dresses. Your looked stunning :) I ended up picking up some begonias (for a shady spot near our front door), some geraniums to put around our letterbox, some little pink daisy looking things (the tag flew off so I don't know their exact name) and some petunias for a splash of colour. Now I just need to actually plant them :)
ReplyDeleteHi Amanda, your tarts look so good. Your weekend sounded very productive! I was hoping to stop in Ikea on our way home but unfortunately didn't get time! I love browsing and seeing what new things they have and getting ideas. xx
ReplyDeleteHi Amanda...I wish I baked, those tarts look delish! Very envious of your Ikea trip. We don't have one here but I'm hoping to make a little side trip on the way home from the Blue Mountains in a week or so. Your weekend was much more productive than mine that's for sure.
ReplyDeleteI had a fabulous lunch and relaxed -perfect. Those tarts look lovely! x
ReplyDeleteBeautiful tarts, Amanda! Hope you found some lovely treasures in Ikea!
ReplyDeleteHave a happy Monday and a wonderful new week! xo
Yum, those tarts look fantastic! We spent the weekend catching up with friends who had driven down from Perth. Very relaxing. You are so good getting out in the garden, I haven't touched mine at all this year.
ReplyDeleteHave a lovely week!
Oooo yummy tarts! And I am super jealous you went to Ikea! What did you get??
ReplyDeleteYour tarts look amazing - I love mini fruit tarts. I could do with one of those now :)
ReplyDeleteI am jealous that you have Ikea...sigh... I wish there was one in Tas, or mail order at the very least. I had a nice weekend as well though the week didn't start well today with a car accident that has left my poor little car with a very very dented in bottom and two sore occupants :( we are both ok, bit still, just not very impressed at unobservant truck drivers!
Hence my need for one of your tarts!
ooooh, what did you pick up at Ikea?? ps. Hows your polka dot party planning going?
ReplyDeleteWow, your tarts look absolutely professional! I'm sure they tasted as good as they look too!
ReplyDeleteWill you post your Ikea purchases???
Have a great monday evening and thank you so much for your lovely comment re my garden - so sweet!!!
Jxx

Oh yes, putting together those kitsets is never as easy as it sounds. Do they always include extra screws or do I just always get something wrong? xx
ReplyDeleteI wish we had an Ikea close to us. Jealous!
ReplyDeleteAwww, your little tarts are lovely! You got FAR more accomplished than I did this weekend, good for you! And now you have tarts, and I have nothing! Cheers!

ReplyDeletethank you so much my blog award too, I was very touched! have been way too busy over the school holidays to pass it on but I do appreciate it. I really enjoy reading your blog too.
Thanks for all the comments girls. The tarts were fairly easy to make and definitely something I will make again in the future. I didn't get anything too exciting at Ikea, just some little stools which I want to give a lick of paint to - I will post some photos soon. As for carpet, we are still in the early stages of looking so no news on that front yet :)
