I bought these red carnations to bring with me to the cemetery today where we will be attending the placement of my Dad’s ashes. While not usually my flower of choice, red carnations are the flowers Dad last bought for me and so they have a special meaning behind them. Love you Dad x

Amanda..thats beautiful...Carnations were also my Mothers favourite flowers..and I always place a bunch in the home along side a lite candle and my favourite picture of the two of us each year on the anniversary of her death...and on her birthday..and During Christmas. It is important to remember our loves ones that may not be here with us..but forever live so strongly in our memories and heart. Thinking of you ..and sending big hugs XOXOXOXOX

ReplyDeleteThe flowers are lovely Amanda, mainly because they have a special meaning for you. It can be comforting to have something that makes you feel a little bit closer or connected to them... We had red roses for my Dad last year, he loved growing them, and loved giving them. Thoughts will be with you...
