French Inspired

Here in our house, one of the things we like to watch on these cold wintery nights is the Tour de France. Paul enjoys watching the cycling while I admire all the beautiful scenery and historic buildings. So today I thought I’d share some French related items and images that have caught my eye…

By the way, those macaroons above are actually soaps!! I thought they were very realistic looking when I first spotted them.

  2. Hubby & I are addicted to Le Tour in our house too! I just love watching the countryside and seeing all the gorgeous chateaus!! I am tired in the mornings though and not too sure how I'm going to manage getting up at 6.30am again when the kids go back to school next week! Beautiful images Amanda. Have a great day :) Christine xx

  4. Amanda what a glorious post , my favourite subject matter (after my family of course) anything French. I just came home with a magazine this morning called' Living France' & then saw A French Country Homes Blog about a home for sale nearby , & now yours. I am in 'Frenchy heaven' this morning. Even for soap those macaroons look tasty !

  8. Hi Amanda,
I adore that shower curtain. I'd hang it the wrong way round and close it when I'm in the bath so I could pretend I was in a lovely Parisian appartment gazing out over Paris! Love the letters and the bus roll print too.

  14. Amanda -

We are both teachers, we both have a Paul!

My sister and Paul were only just laughing about watching the cyclists, attempt to cross the cobblestones and smashing themselves in the process - as if they were trying to ride across a floor of greasy butter!

I like your French inspired post. I am currently reading 'Petite Anglaise' a french book, true story and excellent by the way, whereby the lady blogger, falls in love with a blogee ! Very french, very romantic.
