Weekend 'Window' Shopping

I was all set to do an ANZAC Day post over the long weekend but instead, tried to stay off the computer and use the time to rest.

I did squeeze in a little bit of browsing time on the Not On The High Street website though as I was on the hunt for some wooden printer’s block style letters. I would love to buy some of the blocks in the first image to spell out the word ‘home’ for the console table in our entryway (if only postage from the UK to Australia were cheaper!!) I’m wondering if I can make something similar myself.

I could spend hours browsing on this online store – there are so many lovely products. Below are a few things that caught my eye…

Don't forget to enter my giveaway on this post to win a copy of the book 'Recipe For a Happy Life' if you haven't already. I'll be drawing the winner on Saturday evening...

  1. What a lovely shop. I love the letters and I am sure you could make something similar. Perhaps you could use the wooden craft letters that you can buy at Bunnings and attach them to wooden blocks. xx

i bought letters from Bunnings and spelled the kids names ,painted them in silver and put them on the wall ..they come in two sizes. But if you want fancy writing there is a lady on eBay that custom makes them what ever you want and she is in Australia. i will try and get her name for you. i love that chalkboard with the fancy frame (i want one). love the pictures thanks for sharing.

  10. Hi mate, gorgeous stuff for sure... the framed chalkboard is so cute! I have recently been doing a few projects with letters, and found that here, Spotlight has the best range by far. Bunnings was ok too, but a lot less to choose from. You could also look into getting a black lino tile, and trace and cut out the letters with a stanley knife in the style you like, then stick them onto a wooden block.
I think I am thinking out loud again.... Sorry mate! Hope your week is going great,
    Flick :)

  15. That website is dangerous.. I shouldn't be allowed near the internet with a credit card I don't think, it doesn't feel enough like spending real money sometimes!

Thanks for the comments on my blog.. glad I found yours too now.. can't wait to see your little one's first birthday. I love kids birthday parties!

  16. Oh Amanda, all of these pics are absolutely gorgeous!! I am sure you could make something very similar to those blocks yourself. I made some a few years back, they are the simple shape of a house and then I painted them navy blue and stencilled the letters H,O,M,E on them. I used a jigsaw to cut them out of MDF and they were super easy. Thanks so much for sharing the link to this gorgeous store!! I hope all of your birthday plans and preparation for Grace's birthday are going well:) Hope you have a wonderful weekend sweet girl ~ Tina xx
