Our Weekend

Yesterday was a warm, sunny winter's day here in Perth so we decided to take advantage of the sunshine and went to a nearby park where Grace could ride her bike and feed the ducks. She had a ball and giggled at all the birds flocking towards her.

Tomorrow our new bedroom carpet is being installed followed by the lounge/dining on Wednesday so we've also done a lot of furniture moving this weekend. I'm planning on having a week of sorting and tidying as I don't want to put things back in the bedrooms until I've had a good declutter of our belongings.

What have you all done this weekend?

  3. Found your blog recently and have been enjoying reading it. We are in Auckland, NZ and this weekend two of the crazy members of our family partook in the annual Mid Winter Splash at Mission Bay! It was a gorgeous day here yesterday and we had a lot of fun.

  4. Hi Amanda, Looks like a lovely weekend - nice and sunny. Was Grace afraid of the big swan?
How lovely to have some changes around the house. I'm trying hard to be patient with that here :) I had to work all weekend so am looking forward to the coming weekend already!

  5. how sweet is that bike! we got our first rays of decent sunshine over the weekend too -- and it brightened my spirits considerably! I sat outside in the sun for a good hour or so yesterday reading magazines Ive neglected over the last month and then made us a delicious sushi... with banana and chocolate milkshakes for good measure! Yum! x

  12. What a perfect Winters day to be outside at the park. Grace looks like she had a great time. My hubby and I went out on Saturday night celebrating our birthdays early and then Sunday we had family over to celebrate, busy but we all had a great time. I hope the carpet installation went well today. Have a good week:)

P.S. My big girl is doing really well with her braces and her first appointment was a breeze. She has a new type of brace system that means she doesn't get the terrible tightening each month that can be painful so all is well. Thank you for asking. xo

  18. Hi Amanda. Cute photos of Grace and Paul. Is that at the park on Marmion St?? Grace walking...how exciting! She'll be able to get up to all sorts of mischief now! My youngest niece had her 6th birthday yesterday and fortunately I was well enough to attend her little party on Saturday. I had another niece arriving last week (Skye) Such a blessing. I love being an aunty! I spent some treasured time with my gorgeous Nanna. It was wonderful to be back out in the world. (Had some improvement this week so light at the end of the tunnel) I've also enjoyed the Tour de France for the same reasons as you. (Maybe I should start buying Lotto...)
Love to you and Grace, Lyndell xx

  19. Sarah - Grace wasn't scared at all - although she was a bit shocked when a swan pecked her on the hand :)

Lyndell - yes, we were at the Marmion St park - such a lovely spot on a sunny say - we'll have to have a little picnic there one morning x
