As much as I’ve grown to love winter, I do find that when the weather is a tad warmer and the sun is out shining, I’m far more motivated to get things done around the house. Such was the case over the weekend.
I am however finding that lately, my pottering around the house tends to be a bit scatter-brained. One minute I’ll be hanging out the washing, the next I’ll sit down and work on a bit of Grace’s quilt, only to find myself sorting and organizing baby clothes in the nursery all within the same half hour. Over the weekend, I just went with the flow and managed to get a range of things done.
It’s a bit the same with my decorating plans. There are so many ideas floating around in my head at the moment, I’ve been trying to jot down things immediately so I don’t forget. Similarly, while I am making progress slowly on a range of creative projects, my ‘to make’ inspiration folder is overflowing with things I’d like to try. I think I definitely need to open a Pinterest account.
Here’s hoping my muddled way of doing things lately is simply related to pregnancy…

Gorgeous image... I'm finding the same with our garden, I am constantly collecting inspiring images and chopping and changing from one project to the next. Any progress is good progress though... gxo

ReplyDeleteI'm using it to pin renovation ideas to share with our architect :)
I love Pinterest. I like snooping around and looking at everyone else's pins and the idea of storing all my ideas in one easy to find location.
ReplyDeleteMy pinterest is http://pinterest.com/katecassar/
Amanda, I can totally relate ... on the weekends I do the same thing and jump from one project and chore to the next. And I'm not pregnant!

Ha your muddled headed way is my normal way Amanda : ) sometimes it can work ok. I definitely think the more spring like weather helps the motivation. I hope you are feeling good, and I would say yes to the pinterest sign up, it is soooo good!
ReplyDeleteI know how you feel. I can be sitting working on some project when an idea hits me for something else and I start something new. Needless to say my work basket is full of 'works in progress.' I'm much worse than usual in this last month of pregnancy - I'm so restless and can't settle to do anything. I have a Pininterest account and it's great for storing ideas but also bad for putting a hundred other new ideas into my head! x x
